Stumptown Coffee's Latest Fan

As a parent, we often find ourselves in a whirlwind of multitasking, striving to keep up with our little ones while navigating the perils of sleep deprivation. But, sometimes, our sleep-deprived minds lead us down unexpected paths. A cautionary tale to all parents of infants: do NOT multitask with your morning coffee!

After more than three months of compounding sleep deprivation with just one night of uninterrupted slumber, I finally succumbed to the blunder I'd feared for so long. My daily routine consists of downing a bottle of Stumptown cold brew coffee while simultaneously feeding Caelum a bottle (of breastmilk). It's a coordinated dance, a symphony of caffeine and nurturing, until this morning when my sleep-deprived brain decided it was Caelum's turn to take a sip of Stumptown. Instead of reaching for his milk, I reached for my beloved bottle of Stumptown and started to tip it towards his mouth. I stopped it just in time, sparing Caelum a taste of the forbidden elixir. Yet I still ended up baptising him with the sacred drink leaving a coffee stain around the neck of his onesie as a keepsake. Caelum, our ever-understanding little sage, gazed at me with curiosity, then gifted me with a knowing smile that told me it's okay to have a few caffeine-infused capers along the sleep-deprived journey of parenthood.
